SAN JUAN-- Just days before the Juneteenth National Independence Day, which celebrates the end of slavery, Roseann Bacha-Garza, an anthropology speaker at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, hosted descendants of the site's names where they when risked everything to help servants get away to flexibility.

Household descendants, neighbors and friends gathered Saturday, June 15, at the Jackson Ranch Church where Bacha-Garza shared details about the National Park Service's Underground Railroad National Network to Freedom program and the truth that the application that they sent in January was accepted.
