Pleasant Grove wins Department I golf championship

Pleasant Grove's leading 4 golf enthusiasts all turned in under-par scorecards Monday to lead the Eagles to its 2nd Sac-Joaquin Section Division I girls champion in a row.
In the 18-hole competition played at Lodi's Micke Grove Golf Links, Alaythia Hinds led the way with a four-under-par 68. Tack on Aidie Smith's 88 and the Eagles totaled 364, a group four-over-par, 7 strokes much better than Granite Bay.

The Eagles will be the group to beat next Monday at the Sac-Joaquin Section's Masters Championships at The Ranch at Spanos Park. Pleasant Grove is the protecting champion of that occasion.
