Power fully restored in Sacramento five days after intense winds

(FOX40.COM) - - At one point throughout last week's storm, over 200,000 locals of Sacramento were without power, however according to Sacramento's Local Energy District (SMUD), all power has officially been restored.

" It's been a long 5 days, however we're happy to state that all the outages from Sunday's storm have actually been brought back," SMUD said on Friday.

Throughout the storm, wind speeds in Sacramento County reached a peak speed of 68 miles per hour, however throughout the Sacramento Valley, gusts varying from 70 mph to 87 miles per hour were discovered.

Accompanying images published on X by SMUD reveal its crews overcoming rough conditions as they repair power lines and eliminate branches from the roadway.
