After a soggy start to the week, the clouds are finally parting—but don’t stash those umbrellas just yet. Forecasters warn another round of rain is set to drench the region by Tuesday, complicating commutes and outdoor plans.
Residents can expect a temporary break from the wet weather this evening as the current system moves out. Skies will gradually clear, offering a much-needed window of dryness overnight. However, meteorologists say this reprieve will be short-lived.
A stubborn low-pressure system hovering over the Gulf is funneling moisture northward, creating ideal conditions for recurring rainfall. "This pattern won’t shift until midweek," explains BNN Chief Meteorologist Lisa Ray. "Urban areas should watch for localized flooding, especially in poor-drainage zones."
Models suggest drier air will finally push in by Thursday, with sunshine returning just in time for the weekend. Until then, keep rain gear handy and stay updated on changing conditions.
