Rain subsides Sunday, cooler temperatures en route

HOUSTON, Texas (BNN)-- After a stormy start to Sunday for numerous north of the city, Houston must be taking a look at much drier conditions and even some sunlight for the rest of Sunday. These conditions arrive behind a cold front that will move through Sunday evening, opening the door for a couple of cooler days to begin the brand-new week.
Temperatures Sunday evening will fall from the 70s into the 40s over night. Winds will also choose up out of the northwest and might gust up to 25 to 30 mph Monday. Monday will be mainly sunny with heats rising to near 60 degrees. As soon as the wind settles down Monday night, temperature levels will drop into the middle and upper 30s, which could result in a little frost by daybreak Tuesday.
