(FOX40.COM) - - The California Highway Patrol's North Sacramento Area workplace announced a sobriety checkpoint will take place on Sept. 1 in an unincorporated area of Sacramento County from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m.
" Sobriety checkpoints will be staffed by CHP officers who are trained in the detection of alcohol and/or drug-impaired chauffeurs. CHP Drug Recognition Experts accredited by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will be on-site to supply on-the-spot evaluations of motorists believed of drug use," the CHP said in a press release.
" The officers will likewise be equipped with advanced hand-held breath testing gadgets which offer an accurate procedure of blood alcohol concentrations of believed intoxicated chauffeurs," the release stated.
If there is inclement weather, the checkpoint will be canceled for security factors, and the officers will be assigned to roving DUI systems, CHP reported.
