Saffron Indian restaurant commemorates grand opening on Highway 280

The former home of Bay Leaf on 280 is getting a new life, resuming today as Saffron Indian dining establishment. Found in The Terrace at Greystone, Saffron will serve genuine Indian cuisine for lunch and dinner.

Considering That Bay Leaf 280's closure in February, enthusiasts of Indian food can lastly get their curry fix once again. Along with favorites like butter chicken and tikka masala, Saffron uses a large selection of both standard Indian food and unique Indochinese food. Their menu features chicken, lamb, paneer, shrimp and vegetable dishes alongside numerous vegan and gluten totally free alternatives.

We visited Saffron on their very first day to try the menu, and we were blown away by the coriander chicken, patialashahi shank (lamb shank covered with garam masala and turmeric) and rosemary naan. Oh, and don't skip the mango lassi-- it's homemade and the best balance of sweet and appetizing.
