San Francisco man sentenced to life in prison for death of Marysville woman

(BNN) - - A San Francisco guy has been sentenced in connection to the January 2021 death of Dawn Loralee Ritter of Marysville, according to the Yuba County District Lawyer's Office.

Dominik Oshay Cash was pulled over by California Highway Patrol Officers in January 2021 for speeding. Officers were uninformed that Cash held numerous warrants for his arrest and had a loaded 9mm pistol on the guest seat.

While leaving police, Cash ran a traffic signal at over 80 miles per hour and crashed in an automobile driven by Ritter.

According to officers, Ritter passed away on effect from the force of the crash and Cash continued to get away from officers on foot. He was later collared.

Cash was charged with second-degree murder, careless evasion, getting away the scene of an accident, felon in ownership of a gun and driving on a suspended license. His sentence was set at 21 years to life in state jail.
