Buffalo mayoral candidate Sean Ryan is turning up the heat on the current administration, raising serious questions about Deputy Mayor Crystal Rodriguez-Dabney's former employment with a firm now under fire for its business practices. The Democratic challenger's latest move adds fuel to an already contentious race.
With election season in full swing, Ryan's offensive puts incumbent Mayor Byron Brown on the defensive. The timing couldn't be more crucial as voters grow increasingly skeptical about insider politics and corporate influence in local government.
"Buffalonians deserve to know whether their leaders are working for them or for special interests," Ryan stated during a fiery press conference downtown. "When high-ranking officials have ties to questionable organizations, it raises red flags about whose interests they're really serving."
City Hall fired back quickly, dismissing Ryan's claims as a "desperate political stunt." Rodriguez-Dabney released a statement emphasizing her commitment to public service and dismissing any suggestion of impropriety.
"I've spent my career fighting for Buffalo's residents," the deputy mayor said. "These baseless attacks won't distract us from the important work we're doing to move our city forward."
Breaking Now News will continue following this developing story as the Buffalo mayoral race heats up.
