The recall involves specific Segway Ninebot KickScooter models, including the ES1, ES2, ES3, and ES4. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the issue stems from a malfunction in the scooter's folding mechanism. This defect can cause the scooter to collapse unexpectedly while in use, leading to falls and injuries.
