Several DUI checkpoints to come in Northern California, here's when

(FOX40.COM) - - Numerous law enforcement agencies throughout Northern California are arranged to host DUI checkpoints quickly, and according to state law, they need to give appropriate notification to the public.

The upcoming checkpoints are set up to identify individuals who drive while under the influence of drugs/alcohol or without a valid chauffeur's license.

" All frequently, members of our community are senselessly hurt or eliminated on our local roads by drunk drivers," said Lieutenant R. Hatfield. "Traffic volume allowing, all cars will be looked for drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs."

Folsom



The Folsom Police Department will host a checkpoint on June 26 throughout "evening hours" at an undisclosed area.

" Impaired chauffeurs put others on the road at substantial risk," said Sergeant Tim Galovich." Any prevention measures that decrease the number of impaired drivers on our roadways significantly improves traffic security."

Sacramento



The California Highway Patrol is arranged to host a checkpoint on July 5. CHP stated the precise area and time of the operation will be released about 2 hours before the checkpoint.

Stockton



The Stockton Police Department announced a checkpoint from 6 p.m. on June 28 to 2 a.m. on June 29 at an "concealed place within the city limits."

People caught driving impaired can deal with arrest, jail time, fines, charges, suspended licenses, and more.
