The Santa Ana Police Department is currently investigating a disturbing incident captured on video and circulating on social media. The footage shows a victim being assaulted and stabbed by three suspects in broad daylight.
On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at around 12 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon in the area of McFadden Avenue and S. Sullivan Street. Upon arrival, they found the victim lying on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.
The investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a dispute with the suspects at a public park. During the altercation, all three suspects, armed with knives, attacked and stabbed the victim multiple times in the area of Diamond Street and Fairview Street, just northwest of Jerome Park.
Thankfully, the victim is expected to survive. The Santa Ana Police Department is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects to contact Detective G. Corona at (714) 245-8429 or email GCorona@santa-ana.org.
