Shots fired in attempted burglary at Cheektowaga pawn store

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - - Police in Cheektowaga are examining an attempted break-in they state happened at a pawn shop on Monday.

According to cops, shots were fired on the 1100 block of Walden Avenue prior to the suspects left north on Haller Avenue. Cops recognized the suspects as 3 Black ladies with handguns and a male. No other details about the male suspect were released.

Cops state the suspects repelled in a black Mazda CX-7 with a white tail light.

No injuries were reported. An indication at the front of the business says they will be temporarily closed "for a number of days."

Additionally, the sign states "all loan due dates will be extended at no cost throughout this time."
