A brand-new "enjoyable dining" restaurant has opened on Highway 31 in the heart of Vestavia Hills.

Here is how he explained Palm & & Pig:


." It's (Palm & & Pig )type of like a little laid back sort of ambiance. We opted for something that we've got a little experience in. We're huge into frozen beverages, oysters, barbecue and a bit of live music. A fun environment. We're not fine dining. We're kind of more like "fun dining.".

According to Smith, the Palm is an ode to his daddy's South Carolina roots.

" We looked at all different sort of logo designs and how to integrate the Palmetto crescent and all the South Carolina stuff, without reviewing the top. And the pig, we got a lot of pork on the menu. A lot of bacon," Smith chuckled.

Together with the food Palm & & Pig are understood for their frozen beverages. Smith advises the Bushwacker.

Hours & & Music Palm & & Pig is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM to 9PM. Make certain to sign in on their Facebook page to see who is using their stage most every night.

" We like to support regional music and provide individuals an opportunity to come see some folks play," Smith added.
