Snow to miss out on the majority of Central IN Monday, slowly turning cooler

This Super Bowl Sunday consisted of seasonably mild temperature levels and lots of sunshine. As we gradually cool down, a few rain and snowflake opportunities exist.

It's these areas where the capacity for snow is greater Monday night into the overnight hours. Spots in south Central Indiana will see rain in the night that might mix with snow at times.

Basically the more south you go, the greater chance you'll come across snow. Many of the build-ups will remain out of Indiana entirely or will end up along the southern border and into Kentucky.

Any precipitation will leave here early overnight Tuesday.

Mild to start the week, cooler by the weekend.

It will be generally warm. Another small rain chance exists late Wednesday into Thursday with temperatures staying above typical.

A quick-hitting system might bring Central Indiana some mix to snow showers late Thursday and Friday however those opportunities are low. Indications are suggesting that we'll return to below-normal area beginning Thursday and into next weekend. Normal heats by that point will be 41 °.
