LITTLE ROCK, AR – Stones Throw Brewing, a beloved downtown brewery, was burglarized twice in just one month, leaving owners frustrated and the community on edge. The unexpected break-ins have raised concerns about rising crime in the area, with local business owners now questioning their security measures.
The first break-in occurred in the early hours of April 4th, when thieves smashed a window and stole cash, electronics, and keg equipment. Just weeks later, on April 18th, the brewpub was hit again—this time with more damage and stolen inventory. Surveillance footage showed masked individuals forcing entry through a rear door.
Local business owners have voiced growing frustration over what appears to be a surge in break-ins. While Little Rock police report that overall crime rates remain stable, the repeated targeting of Stones Throw Brewing has sparked debate over whether more security presence is needed.
Despite the setbacks, the brewery remains determined to stay open. Owners have launched a GoFundMe to help cover damages and upgrade security systems. Meanwhile, loyal customers have rallied in support, packing the pub in a show of solidarity.
"We won’t let criminals scare us away," said co-owner John Lee. "This is our home, and we’re not backing down."
