Teenager dead, others injured after Riverside celebration stabbing

A teen is dead and 2 others are injured after a houseparty in Riverside turned violent early Sunday early morning, authorities said.

According to Officer Ryan Railsback with the Riverside Police Department, officers responded to a noise complaint in the 3400 block of Gay Way around 12:20 a.m. While the party was shutting down, the officers were informed that 2 teens were stabbed.

The officers found the 2 victims and started lifesaving measures on among them, but he was noticable dead at the scene. The other was transferred to a regional health center with a non-life threatening wound, police said.

Officers were informed 25 minutes later that a third teenager was required to a hospital. It was determined that he may also have been associated with the stabbing and was detained by police.

Investigators are actively examining the situation. No other details were instantly offered.
