Breaking News: Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Garden Grove

A tragic incident occurred late Wednesday night in Garden Grove, resulting in the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. Traffic Investigator John Yergler of the GGPD reported that the incident took place in the 14300 block of Brookhurst Street near 13th Street and was reported to police around 11:16 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a man lying in the roadway, with the involved vehicle - a 2022 Toyota Sienna - parked in a nearby parking lot. The driver, a 58-year-old woman from Santa Ana, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.

Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded to the scene, but unfortunately, the pedestrian was declared deceased.
