Planned Parenthood is closing two of its Utah health centers following the Trump administration's decision to slash federal reproductive health funding. The move has left thousands of patients scrambling for alternatives, raising concerns about access to essential healthcare services.

The shutdown stems from the Trump administration's "Protect Life Rule", which bars federal funding from clinics that provide or refer patients for abortions. While Planned Parenthood insists federal dollars were never used for abortion services, the policy change still forced the organization to withdraw from the Title X family planning program.
Karrie Galloway, CEO of Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, called the cuts "devastating," stating:
"These closures will create healthcare deserts, leaving vulnerable populations without critical services. Many low-income patients rely on these clinics for affordable care."
