In response to the expected surge in demand for holiday shipping, UPS is gearing up to meet the challenge by hiring a staggering 125,000 seasonal workers nationwide.

Denver’s Seasonal Hiring Blitz

In Denver alone, UPS plans to recruit around 2,700 full- and part-time seasonal employees. This is part of a broader effort to ensure timely deliveries during one of the busiest shopping seasons of the year.

Job Opportunities Available

UPS is looking for a variety of roles to fill, including:

  • Seasonal delivery drivers
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) drivers
  • Package handlers

Competitive Pay and Benefits

UPS is offering attractive pay rates for seasonal positions:

  • Package handlers will earn a starting wage of $21 per hour.
  • CDL drivers and seasonal delivery drivers will start at $23 per hour.

In a move to streamline the hiring process, UPS has announced that 75% of the new positions no longer require an in-person interview. This means many applicants could receive a job offer in as little as 10 minutes!

Educational Benefits and Incentives

UPS is not just offering jobs; they also provide educational incentives through their Earn and Learn program. Eligible employees can earn up to $25,000 for college tuition and expenses. Part-time seasonal workers can even qualify for pro-rated reimbursement on their very first day of employment. Additionally, current employees can receive a bonus for referring family and friends to the company.
