Vintage Home Tour in Corona will reveal 4 traditional homes

The Corona Historic Preservation Society's 2023 Vintage Home Tour will take visitors into homes that date from 1892 to 1928, a news release states. The occasion is scheduled for Saturday, May 13.

The style of this year's occasion is Cherishing Our Past and is an acknowledgment of the city of Corona's motto: To Cherish Our Past, to Plan Our Future.

The tour is self-guided and, with tickets bought beforehand, visitors can begin at any of your houses, according to the release. Organizers suggest that guests use comfy walking shoes and caution that the houses are not available to the disabled. All have actions and three are two-story homes. The houses can be seen from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m

. This year's homes are an 1892 structure that started as a vernacular adobe residence, a 1903 Craftsman cottage, a 1907 Victorian bungalow and a 1928 Provincial-style house. Each has a distinct architectural style and decorations inside.

Docents wearing vintage clothing will work as hosts at each property.

Ticket proceeds will go to the society's Home Preservation Grant Program and other local conservation projects, the release states.

Pre-sale tickets are $20. Tickets on the day of the occasion will be $25. Tickets can be bought at Corona Heritage Park, 510 W. Foothill Parkway, Corona.

Online tickets are available at www.eventbrite.com up until 11 p.m. Friday, May 12. To purchase them, search for "Corona Vintage Home Tour." Tickets bought online must be picked up at the will-call table at 1052 E. Grand Blvd. on the day of the tour.
