Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, a sports bar/restaurant chain, will open its brand-new West Little Rock location on Monday, Nov. 13 at 16103 Chenal Parkway in the former Mellow Mushroom.

A portion of proceeds from the grand opening, described in a press release as "a series of events and a special VIP night," benefit Little Rock's Our House. Additionally, "a win for one of the very first 100 visitors on opening day will be when one is arbitrarily selected to get Walk-On's for an entire year."

Walk-On's calls its culinary design "Americana and Louisiana cuisine." The very first area opened in Baton Rouge in 2003 and was co-founded by 2 previous LSU basketball walk-ons who planned the concept on a flight home after a roadway video game versus the University of Tennessee. Previous NFL quarterback Drew Brees became a co-owner and partner of the business around the time it began franchising in 2015.

Here's some details about the menu from the release:

Walk-On's is known for its made-from-scratch specialized dishes that integrate fresh components to bring what has been called "mouthwatering" Americana and Louisiana food to life. Varied menu offerings feature distinct twists on game-day staples and high end takes on Louisiana pillars such as Crawfish Étouffée, Chicken & & Andouille Gumbo, and Doughnut Bread Pudding made with Krispy Kreme doughnuts..

Walk-On's has 4 other Arkansas places in Conway, Fayetteville, Fort Smith and Rogers.
