Caltrans has announced a major shutdown of Interstate 8, stretching through La Mesa and El Cajon, from Friday evening until early Monday morning. While this weekend’s work will wrap up the major construction, crews will return in early October for overnight lane closures to finalize lane striping and complete the project.
