A new research study finds the popular obesity drug Zepbound might assist treat sleep apnea, an unsafe disorder in which people have a hard time to breathe during sleep. The research study found that people who took tirzepatide lowered the variety of episodes per hour in which their breathing slowed or stopped totally while they slept by about half to almost 60%. The study published Friday was spent for by Eli Lilly, the drug's maker. A representative says the company has actually asked the Food and Drug Administration to expand using the drug to deal with the condition that impacts an approximated 20 million Americans.
