Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan to perform at festival tour stop in Northern California

(FOX40.COM)-- Legendary artists Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan will perform in the Sacramento area as part of an across the country trip this summer.

Nelson and Dylan will be joined by John Mellencamp and Brittney Spencer for the "Outlaw Music Festival Tour" at the Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland on Aug. 4.

" This year's Outlaw Music Festival Tour guarantees to be the biggest and best yet with this lineup of famous artists," Nelson stated in a press release. "I am thrilled to get back on the roadway once again with my friends and family playing the music we enjoy for the fans we love.".

Tickets for the Wheatland performance go on sale Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m

. The rest of the festival lineup consists of Robert Plant & & Alison Krauss, Celisse, and Southern Avenue, however those artists are not noted in the Sacramento stop.

The festival trip begins on June 21 at Alpharetta, Georgia and will conclude at Buffalo, New York on Sept. 17. The tour will also make its way to other California cities such as Chula Vista, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View.

According to Live Nation, the Outlaw Music Festival made its launching in 2016 with a single show in Scranton, Pennsylvania and has because developed into a North American trip.

Musicians who have participated in the celebration in previous years consist of Chris Stapleton, Neil Young, Luke Combs, ZZ Top, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow and Sturgill Simpson.
