Woman's Deceptive Salesman Impersonation Leads to Arrest for Theft and Fraud

Man Arrested for Fraudulently Obtaining Home Improvement Loans

A Donna man was arrested after attempting to secure four home improvement loans totaling $145,000 using a woman's stolen information. The suspect, Reucindo Trigueros Jr., 34, faces charges of fraud for using stolen identifying information for financial gain.

According to the affidavit, the suspect posed as a home security system salesman and obtained personal information from a woman under false pretenses. The victim later discovered unauthorized loan applications in her name through a company called GoodLeap Finance.

After further investigation, it was revealed that the suspect had targeted multiple victims using similar tactics. In one case, he convinced a woman to take out a $55,000 loan for home repairs that were never completed. Another victim was scammed out of $800 for fake security camera installations and roof repairs.
