Amit Elor, born and raised in Walnut Creek, attended College Park High School before moving on to Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. Her hard work and dedication paid off as she advanced to her first Olympic gold medal bout in the 68kg freestyle final, scheduled for Thursday.
