1 displaced, 3 cats dead in apartment fire on Birch Lake Rd in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – – An apartment or condo fire in Virginia Beach has left one guy displaced and three cats dead.

On March 1, around 2:06 p.m. the Virginia Beach Fire Department reacted to the 200 block of Birch Lake Road in reference to an apartment or condo fire.

When firefighters arrived they saw heavy smoke originating from the kitchen area of the apartment.

The reason for the fire is under examination.
