AEW’s Exciting New Arlington Event: Why Texas Wrestling Fans Are the Heartbeat of the Action!

AEW's Groundbreaking Event: Texas Fans Ready to Rock Arlington!

In the heart of North Texas, particularly in Arlington, a new wave of excitement is brewing for wrestling fans. Athena, a Garland native and the reigning Ring of Honor Women's World Champion, is set to play a pivotal role in this electrifying event. With a title won at the ROH Final Battle two years ago in Arlington, the local connection runs deep.

A Hometown Hero

Athena's journey began in Arlington, where she wrestled at venues like the now-closed Six Flags Mall and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. She expressed her deep connection to the city, stating, “I can tell you everything there is to know about the city of Arlington because it’s my old stomping grounds. It’s kind of a privilege; I feel very spoiled throughout our residency.”

AEW: All In Texas

Mark your calendars! On July 12, 2024, AEW will host its inaugural U.S. stadium event at Globe Life Field. This landmark occasion, titled AEW: All In Texas, will not only be the promotion's first pay-per-view event in Texas but also a celebration of wrestling's rich heritage in the Lone Star State. Athena couldn't hide her excitement, saying, “I’m excited at the prospect of making it to All In – showing my friends, family, and former coworkers what I’m capable of doing on such a major stage.”

Building the Hype

This event, organized in collaboration with the city, the Arlington Sports Commission, the Texas Rangers, and REV Entertainment, is expected to attract tens of thousands of spectators from around the globe. Tony Khan, CEO of AEW, emphasized the significance of this event, noting, “There are certainly a lot of great wrestling fans in Texas – they’re one of my favorite natural resources. You can bet they’re going to be loud and proud here in Globe Life when we present AEW: All In Texas next year.”

What's Next for Arlington?

2024 is shaping up to be a monumental year for Arlington's entertainment district, already buzzing with anticipation for the MLB All-Star Game and the newly opened Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center. Matt Wilson, head of the Arlington Sports Commission, remarked, “We say this is a city where we crown champions. This is the world’s biggest stage, and we’re looking forward to adding this event to our roster next summer.”

The stage is set, the fans are ready, and the excitement is palpable. AEW: All In Texas promises to be a landmark event that wrestling fans won't want to miss!
