NEW YORK CITY-- Car dealerships across North America have faced a significant interruption this week. CDK Global, a company that supplies software application for countless vehicle dealerships in the U.S. and Canada, was struck by back-to-back cyberattacks on Wednesday. That caused a blackout that was continuing to impact lots of operations by Friday. For potential automobile purchasers, that might imply facing hold-ups at afflicted car dealerships-- or seeing their orders written by hand-- without any instant end in sight.
