A Las Vegas judge halted court procedures versus an alleged cult leader accused of sexual attack on Wednesday in order for public defenders to appeal a judgment in the case to the Nevada Supreme Court.
Recently, District Judge Carli Kierny decreased to dismiss sexual assault, kidnapping and lewdness charges against Nathan Chasing Horse, a previous star accused of operating a cult called The Circle.
Chief Deputy Public Defender Kristy Holston submitted a motion to halt the procedures so that she could appeal the judge's choice to the Supreme Court, and Kierny approved the movement during a brief court hearing Wednesday.
