Carolyn H. Richert, a beloved figure in her community, passed away on February 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the impact one person can have on countless lives.
Carolyn was born on July 15, 1945, in Johnson County. From a young age, she exhibited a zest for life and a deep sense of compassion for others. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1963 and went on to pursue a career in nursing, where she touched the lives of many patients with her gentle care and empathetic nature.
Carolyn's greatest joy was her family. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Richert, in 1967, and together they raised three children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always putting her loved ones first. Carolyn also played an active role in her community, volunteering at local shelters and organizing charity events to support those in need.
Carolyn's impact extended far beyond her immediate circle. Her friends and neighbors remember her as a beacon of positivity, always ready with a warm smile or a helping hand. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, a quality that will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on February 17, 2025, at the Franklin Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Johnson County Food Bank, a cause close to Carolyn's heart.
