Bodybar Pilates is planning to stretch across the country following the opening of its new corporate headquarters in Fort Worth in June.

The new facility, located at 3236 W. Seventh St., is 2,400 square feet and houses corporate offices, a conference room, and state-of-the-art training facilities.

The new headquarters also features a newly renovated Bodybar Pilates studio and will serve as the central hub for hands-on business training for new owners, studio managers, and fitness managers.

“Opening our new corporate headquarters is a significant milestone for Bodybar Pilates,” said Kamille McCollum, president and chief operating officer. “This facility highlights our focus on supporting our franchisees and fostering a strong community.”

McCollum and her husband, Matt, were early franchisees of Bodybar Pilates. They had just moved to Fort Worth in 2015 when McCollum, who was in training for a marathon, attended a class in Dallas.

“I could barely walk to my car after, but it felt great,” she said. “I loved it.”

Eventually, the couple met the people who worked at the first Bodybar Pilates in Dallas and opened a location in Fort Worth. Matt McCollum was running a franchise at the time and also had experience in business development as president of a moving services startup.

In 2019, they began handling franchise operations for Bodybar Pilates.

There are about 10 studios in the area now, and there should be around 45 studios open around the country soon, Kamille McCollum said.

“Real estate is difficult,” she said. “It’s hard to find the right space and the right location. We think our spot on West Seventh is in a perfect location with all the new development in the area.”

The new headquarters provide the company with plenty of space to offer comprehensive, hands-on training and to showcase the Bodybar Pilates experience to those interested in purchasing a franchise, she said.

McCollum said Pilates has outlasted many fitness trends that tend to come and go because it has a long, proven history.

It was founded in the early 20th century by Joseph and Clara Pilates using techniques developed by Joseph while he was interned in a camp during World War I.

“That foundation, those principles, still make sense,” McCollum said. “We’ve improved on them, but that foundation is why Pilates is still popular today.”

It also appeals to all ages, McCollum said.

“We have people as young as 13 and as old as 85,” she said. “It’s something you can do forever. I think that’s why
