Disneyland's Hungry Bear Dining establishment to stay open while Animal Country is closed

Disneyland visitors will still have the ability to get funnel cakes, chicken sandwiches, and cheeseburgers at the Hungry Bear Restaurant while Critter Country is closed.

The historic dining establishment is slated to stay open as building walls increase around Critter Country, one of the lands within Disneyland, officials confirmed to BNN.

A representative from the Disneyland Resort said that additional operation details relating to the dining establishment, should they be needed, will also be shared.

Disneyland's Critter Country area will temporarily close starting on May 1 as officials work to reimagine 2 retail shops.

Briar Patch and the left-hand side of Pooh Corner will be reimagined into Ray's Berets and Louis' Critter Club, respectively. The style of the new stores was influenced by Walt Disney Animation Studios' 'The Princess and the Frog' animated feature.

The statement of new retail shops came as crews continue to work on Tiana's Bayou Adventure, formerly called Splash Mountain. The reimagined attraction is slated to open later this year at Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Florida.

Along with the land's closure, "The Many Adventures of Winne the Pooh" destination will likewise be closed.
