With a host of filming activities planned, local residents and fans of the iconic show can expect some thrilling action in their neighborhood. However, there will be a few adjustments to parking and road access that everyone should be aware of.

Filming Schedule and Restrictions

Starting today and lasting through Monday evening, Bixby Park will serve as a vibrant backdrop for the series. Here’s what you need to know:

• Road Closures: Second Street will be closed to through traffic between Cherry and Kennebec avenues from noon Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday.
• Parking Restrictions: No parking will be allowed on Second Street between Kennebec and Cherry avenues and on Junipero Avenue from First Street to East Broadway. These restrictions will remain in place until Monday at 7 p.m.
• Residential Access: Don't worry, residents will still have access to their homes at all times despite the road closures.

What’s Happening on Set?

This morning, production crews were busy preparing the area, including trimming trees and moving in vintage furniture to create the perfect 1991 Miami vibe. The nearby Chateau Lisa condominium complex is also part of the filming, enhancing the authentic aesthetic of the series.

Set in the early '90s, "Dexter: Original Sin" follows the transformation of Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson) from a student to an avenging serial killer, with the original Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall, narrating the gripping tale.
