El Paso Locomotive FC has made a thrilling announcement regarding the acquisition of defender Wahab Ackwei from Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, pending league and federation approval.
In a corresponding move, El Paso Locomotive FC has transferred forward Justin Dhillon to Colorado Springs, expressing gratitude for his contributions to the club this season and wishing him the best in his future endeavors.
Ackwei, a 27-year-old player from Ghana, joined the Switchbacks during the offseason and has already made an impact, scoring one goal in six matches this season. Prior to his time in Colorado Springs, Ackwei played under Locomotive Head Coach Wilmer Cabrera at Rio Grande Valley FC, where he showcased his talent by scoring four goals and providing four assists in 59 appearances across all competitions.
With experience playing for Loudoun United FC, New York Red Bulls II, Richmond Kickers, and Inter Allies FC in the Ghana Premier League, Ackwei brings a wealth of experience and skill to the El Paso Locomotive FC roster.
