Frisco drivers can stay up to date with the current lane closures throughout continuous
Dallas Parkway construction with an all new interactive story map. The Traffic Engineering and GIS Divisions created this online map due to the fact that of the increasing number of varying lane closures happening along
Dallas Parkway.
The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is currently dealing with its
Dallas North Tollway widening job through
Frisco from SH 121 to United States 380. The job requires lane closures along
Dallas Pkwy. as crews deal with the bridges or external walls of the DNT. Additional lane closures are expected to start in March, when the city of
Frisco will start work to broaden
Dallas Pkwy. frontage roadways between Lebanon Rd. and Panther Creek Pkwy. Both tasks will take about 2 years to finish.
The new map will enable motorists to know which sections of
Dallas Pkwy. are expected to have lane closures in the coming week and how that may affect the regional commute. The map will be updated every Monday with brand-new info from the professionals doing work.
Users will be able to zoom in on each planned closure to see which lanes will be closed, together with the times and days it is planned to take place. (Lane closures undergo last minute modifications due to devices or weather problems, however must happen as described on the map.).
The city of
Frisco will continue to send announcements about any roadway closures causing traffic to take detours. Please note: it's not possible to send out statements about each and every single lane closure due to the number happening daily at varying places.

Frisco and who are age 18 or older can sign up with the
Frisco Police Department for the spring session of the academy. The session takes place on Thursday nights from March 21-June 6.
