Garrett McDaniels, the newest addition to the Los Angeles Angels roster, recently opened up about the surreal moment he realized his lifelong dream of playing in the majors. "Putting on that Angels uniform for the first time was everything I'd imagined and more," McDaniels shared in an exclusive interview. "This is the team I grew up watching, and now I get to be part of it."
McDaniels' path to Angel Stadium wasn't without its challenges. The 24-year-old pitcher recounted his journey through the minors, where he developed the skills that eventually caught the attention of Angels scouts.
"I was actually doing laundry when I got the call," McDaniels laughed. "My manager walked in and said 'Pack your bags - you're heading to Anaheim.' I don't think I've ever folded clothes so fast in my life."
The rookie made an immediate impact in his debut, striking out two batters in a scoreless inning against division rivals. His signature cutter has already become a talking point among analysts.
