LINCOLN, Nebraska - A new chapter for the UTEP Miners commenced in Lincoln, Nebraska, as they faced off against the formidable Nebraska Cornhuskers from the Big Ten Conference this past Saturday. With the Scotty Walden era officially underway, all eyes were on how the Miners would perform in their season opener.
As the first half unfolded, the Miners found themselves trailing significantly, with the Cornhuskers leading 30-7 at halftime. Despite a slow start, UTEP demonstrated flashes of their potential.
