School police will increase their existence at Thurman White Middle School in Henderson on Friday after threatening social media posts were shared online.

The Clark County School District Police Department said Thursday it knew rumors circulating online about a threat involving the school.

"The risk has been examined and figured out to be dubious," a declaration posted on social media check out.

School cops Lt. Bryan Zink stated the threatening post informed students not to go to school tomorrow. Sometimes, they mention a possible shooting.

"This is another example of how one rumor can spread quickly, and progress and change every time it's shared," Zink said in a text Thursday.

Dangers can be reported through SafeVoice, the state's confidential reporting hotline, at safevoicenv.org.
