Homicides reported in south residential areas consisting of Hazel Crest, Markham and Dolton

Homicides were reported by the Cook County medical inspector's workplace this previous week in south residential areas including Markham, Calumet City and Hazel Crest.
The medical inspector's workplace Friday likewise reported a stabbing death in Dolton, in the 14400 block of South Kimbark Avenue, although additional information about the victim were not instantly available.
In Hazel Crest, Elroy Miller, 56, of the 16700 block of Anthony Avenue, suffered numerous gunshot injuries at that area and was noticable dead at the scene at 12:33 a.m. Aug. 13, according to the medical inspector's workplace, which ruled the death a murder.
Shawn Griffin, 31, of the 17200 block of Kedzie Avenue in Markham, was shot numerous times in the 16700 block of Richmond Avenue in Markham, according to the medical examiner.
He was noticable dead at the scene at 4:21 p.m. Aug. 12, and his death was ruled a murder, according to the office.
A 28-year-old male suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 300 block of Paxton Avenue in Calumet City, the Cook County medical inspector's office reported Friday.
Information regarding his death was not instantly readily available.
