Those rankings have actually held up to analysis this season with simply one or two exceptions. 2 were Pleasant Grove's early season upsets of Lodi and Christian Brothers.
Interestingly if you look Division by Division in the Sac-Joaquin Section one would discover just about every Elk Grove-area football group is still in the running for a playoff spot. For Pleasant Grove they must beat either Davis Friday or Sheldon next Friday to certify for the Division I bracket. Sheldon is 3-6 right now and this Friday is a bye for the Huskies.
In the post-season now are Monterey Trail and Cosumnes Oaks in Div. I, Elk Grove and Laguna Creek in Div. II and Bradshaw Christian in Div. VI. If they beat Galt Friday and Rosemont on the 27th, the Pride might actually get a first-round bye.
