Lincoln woman sentenced for possession of meth

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) - - A female was sentenced in federal court in Lincoln on Friday to over 2 years in jail for belongings of meth.

There is no parole in the federal system.

Once launched from prison, 40-year-old Trisha A. Havel of Lincoln, will serve three years on supervised release, the U.S. Attorney's Office stated.

On March 30, 2021, Lincoln Police executed a search warrant at Havel's home and discovered 6 bags of meth weighing an overall of about 2 ounces.

Havel confessed to offering meth to assist a small group of pals and to support her addiction.
