Millions in the United States prepare for more sweltering heat as floodwaters swamp parts of the Midwest


Floodwaters inundated parts of the Midwest, including a town in Iowa left after being submerged up to the rooftops. From the mid-Atlantic to Maine, throughout much of the Midwest and throughout inland California, public officials cautioned citizens sweating through the heat and humidity.
