LONDON-- The U.K. Supreme Court has ruled that planners examining well-drilling licenses must consider the environmental effect from burning the oil that would be produced. The 3-2 ruling on Thursday in London was a triumph for fossil fuel opponents. Sarah Finch had actually challenged a choice by Surrey County Council to enable extra oil wells at Horse Hill near London Gatwick Airport.
