North Carolina assistant principal charged with DWI, principal validates

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN)-- A high school assistant principal was apprehended Friday and charged with driving while impaired in Apex.

Lindsay Kristin Anderson, 41, of Apex, was visited a trooper with the N.C. State Highway Patrol on Friday, according to Raleigh/Wake City-County Bureau of Identification.

On Monday, a declaration from Willow Spring's school principal Wade Martin was sent out to school households to deal with the occurrence.

" We have discovered that over the weekend, one of our assistant principals, Lindsay Anderson, was detained and charged with driving while impaired," Martin said. "While personal privacy laws avoid me from offering much information about the situation, I can show you that the event under examination did not involve any of our trainees and it did not happen at our school."

Martin further informed households that Anderson has actually been suspended from her function as assistant principal pending the examination.
