Officials search for driver that allegedly left deadly hit-and-run crash in Yuba County

(KTXL)-- Police officials are looking for the motorist of a car that was involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 78-year-old guy dead in Yuba County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the agency received a request for aid from the Yuba County Sheriff's Office relating to a male discovered on Forty Mile Road, south of Highway 65, on the early morning of May 13.

Private investigators think he was struck by a lorry the night prior to. The lorry is referred to as a 2016 or more recent white Chevrolet Malibu, which continued driving northbound after the crash.

Anybody with info regarding the crash is asked to call the CHP at 530-645-6200.
