Police apprehend Republican lawmaker amidst gunshot reports in middle of night in Lansing


LANSING, Mich.-- Police say a Republican state legislator from northern Michigan was arrested early Thursday in Lansing. He was detained in the capital in the middle of the night when cops responded to possible gunshots. The Ingham County district attorney is waiting for a formal report from police.
