Shorty Small's debuted this weekend in its new mobile digs, which was set up at The Lot food truck court at 601 W. 4th St. in North Little Rock, selling a menu of mozzarella sticks and fried peach pie a la mode.

The trailer has undergone a makeover given that our last report about the restaurant's return on wheels, branding it as Shorty Small's Cheese Stick Factory.

Owner Paul Kreth stated the preliminary focus for the truck is to have a really restricted menu that can be served quickly, and Shorty Small's popular cheese sticks fall under that classification.

Kreth stated if the truck principle is a success, he plans on franchising out more. He said he's checking out ghost kitchen areas to produce food for the trucks, and in time, he'll be rotating in more popular items from the Shorty Small's menu to be rolled out as weekly specials. He stated he's likewise looking into brick-and-mortar locations.

Shorty Small's place on Rodney Parham was offered in 2022 after being in service for 42 years. It was the very first place to last and open one to close, Kreth stated.
