The General Manager of the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe recently revealed to gaming regulators that every inch of the property will undergo renovations during its latest redevelopment phase.
Jason Sides, the general manager, stated that the initial phase of redevelopment has commenced on the 539-room hotel and 25,000-square-foot casino. One of the resort's towers has been temporarily closed for improvements, with the first floor of renovated rooms expected to be available by October, just in time for the busiest months of the year.
Sides mentioned that significant capital investment is planned for the property after it was purchased by Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta's Fertitta Entertainment last year. The resort has been rebranded several times since its opening in the 1960s and is now operating under its fifth name.
Exciting additions to the property include a Salt Grass Steakhouse and Mastro's Steak House, both owned by Fertitta. Renovation images on the Golden Nugget website showcase a revitalized lobby area and room renderings.
The renovations are anticipated to be completed by 2025, offering visitors a fresh and modern experience at the historic resort.
